The Sunday Post #1 : September 13, 2020

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s time to recap the week and talk about what bookish content is coming up next week.

This has been a good week. I finished two books:

Title: The Weight of Our Sky

Author: Hanna Alkaf

Genre: YA historical fiction

Published: February 5, 2019

Rating: 4 out of 5.

You can read my review here.

Title: Mirage

Author: Somaiya Daud

Genre: YA science fiction

Published: August 28, 2018

Rating: 3 out of 5.

You can read my review here.

I’m currently reading Pachinko by Min Jin Lee and enjoying it. Multi-generational family sagas are not my preferred type of story, but it’s undeniably interesting. I knew that Koreans face a lot of prejudice in Japan, but it’s so blatant in this book. Expect a review sometime next week!

Also coming up next week is my birthday! I’ll be twenty-three years old as of the eighteenth of September. I’ve already treated myself to a book-buying binge this September, and my purchases should begin trickling into my mailbox (because I can’t go out, everything is bought either via Amazon or ThriftBooks) next week. Next week’s Sunday Post will hopefully feature a haul!
